About MyEnergyToolkit
MyEnergyToolkit is a free suite of 31 electricity and solar calculators built around one idea: the questions behind every power bill have numeric answers, and you shouldn't need a spreadsheet, a signup form, or a sales call to get them.
What the tools cover
- Bills & home — what you pay, which appliances drive it, and what a better plan or a heat pump would change.
- Solar & battery — whether solar pays off where you live, and the exact system, battery, and inverter you'd need.
- EV & backup power — charging costs and times, generator and UPS sizing.
- Electrical — the conversions and sizing rules (watts, amps, kVA, breakers, wire, voltage drop) that keep planning numbers honest.
How the calculators work
Every tool runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to a server, stored, or shared — close the tab and it's gone. The formulas behind each calculator are explained in plain language on the page itself, along with the assumptions, so you can check our math and adjust it to your situation.
Accuracy, honestly stated
These are planning tools. They use standard industry formulas and sensible defaults, but your utility's tariff, your roof's shading, and your local electrical code all have the final word. Results are estimates — not professional, financial, or electrical advice. For installations, always confirm with a licensed professional.
